Negative taken for October 22, 1957, Arkansas Gazette article "Hatchery to Supply Trout for Streams," B1:2. The Norfork National Fish Hatchery, part of the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, opened near Mountain Home, Baxter County, Arkansas. Rainbow and brown trout hatchlings will be fed finely ground beef liver in metal troughs for three to four months before they are moved to the outdoor concrete raceways. When the fish are about eighteen months old, they will be used to stock the White and Norfork Rivers in Arkansas.
